Leaves fallen, home games over, and the dogwood buds firmly planted for their chilly respite, winter is upon us. The hoop house at Full Moon is overwhelmed with quick successions of lettuce varietals, miniature coriander, and a rainbow of beets. And out in the field a renegade crop of torpedo onions has sprouted, making their way unnoticed through the rapid fire harvests of summer, only to emerge in late autumn humble, red, and asking to be grilled on an open flame and eaten alongside a bottomless glass of tempranillo. The Farm adapts to the cold by offering the following indoor festivities…
First off, in order to help ease you into our current economic conundrum, we bring you the stimulus package: a housemade sausage with all the fixins and a yuengling lager for $5. Yes, $5 total, all the time, any day of the week, bar or tableside. Not even Obama can beat that bail out plan.
Also starting this week, we’ll be reverting back to our regular menu on Sunday evenings, and ending our small plates-only service. So you can get your burger fix 6 days a week instead of 5. Supper is offered from 5.30 til 9.30pm every week, and our bar is open until midnight, with live music starting at 10pm every week as well.
For the holidays, we’ll be hosting our Annual Christmas Eve Supper, a four-course meal highlighting our best seasonal offerings for $50/pp not including tax & gratuity. Reservations are available between 5.30 – 9.30pm, call or email here to reserve. It’s a wonderful evening of family and community at the 255, and we hope you and yours will join us this year.
And as in years past, we’ll be throwing down for New Year’s Eve in typical Farm fashion with a prix fixe supper or a la carte menu served with bubbly of course, seasonal specialty cocktails and a raging party to bring you into 2009 with musical accompaniment by the premiere of Athens’ PFunk cover band. It’s never been a party to be missed.
Don’t forget to check out our new merchandise as well, bright red sweatshirts and tote bags, perfect holiday presents.

As always, the Farm presents live music almost every night that we’re open. That always includes Tuesday Night Jazz with Dan Nettles or Carl Lindberg Trio playing every week at 8pm, 1/2-off house wine all night, and a convivial community vibe.
